But on this long coast, where do the beautiful beaches start?
To visit Brazil is like having visited several different countries, because Brazil is a continent by itself, with different cultures, languages, history, architecture, gastronomy, etc., but unified by a common thread: the beauty of its beaches. If you come from the north, a good starting point on the beach road will be Fortaleza. Known by its tropical beaches and charming locals, this fantasy place was the origin of several books of popular Brazilian stories and romance. At this point you'll find two of the best beaches from Brazil: Jericoacoará, considered the place to visit if you want to see some of the most spectacular sunsets in Brazil; and Canoa Quebrada, a small and old village on a cliff, discovered by hippies in the 70's. Close by is Natal, also with a good variety of beaches, and recently a popular honeymoon destination. There are other Brazilian beaches nearby, such as Praia de Pipa, with an incredible turquoise colored sea, frequented by dolphins and turtles.

In the surroundings you could find two other Top beaches in Brazil: Ponta do Mel (Mel Point) and Praia da Pipa (Pipa´s Beach), whith an incredible turquoise sea frequented by dolphins and turtles.
Pernambuco is the next state, and in spite of being small, it has two of the most beautiful beaches with the best natural swimming pools in the North of Brazil: Porto do Galinhas and Carneiros. And of course, near Recife in Pernambuco, you can find the most beautiful place in Brazil: Fernando de Noronha, that is not a beach but a group of islands with many beaches. In Alagoas, the nex state, you will find three excellent beaches: Carro Quebrado; Praia do Gunga, each one of them with white and sparkling sand ending in dense blue water.
Then comes Bahia, the king state of the beautiful beaches. A place where everybody is happy, even when you arrive at the airport there is a sing saying: "Smile, you are in Bahia". Here you will find a lot of beaches, including: Espelho and Morro do Sao Paulo. Another great beaches in Bahia are Taipus de For, Mangue Seco, Praia do Forte, Trancoso, Pitinga, Porto Seguro and Maceió.
In Rio Janeiro, of course you have all the famous one, like Copacabana or Ipanema, but in terms of beauty, our selection goes to Farol beach. Sao Paulo, a state more known by its industrial city, also has a great beach that deserves to be visit: Baía de Castelhanos (Ilhabela, São Paulo).
Diversity is the keyword in Brazilian culture, but when it comes to the beach, we can say something: nor the Caribbean, not beautiful places in Asia as Thailand or Bali, or even the European coast has the beauty of some of these Brazilian beaches.
